If requests to the cluster continue to exceed the expected TPS and the total of inband and outbound requests within 30 days exceeds the threshold, access to the cluster will be blocked.

The cluster includes AWS Shield Standard, which protects against basic DoS attacks. If you need more protection, you should choose the Enterprise plan.
